a) Data you give us directly

When you submit the contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address, and the message you send. We do not collect anything beyond what you voluntarily provide in that form.

b) Data collected automatically

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics collects anonymised data such as pages visited, time spent on the site, device type, browser, and approximate location. This data does not identify you as an individual.

Calculator inputs

The calculators on this site do not collect or store any values you enter. All calculations run locally in your browser. Your CGPA, SGPA, marks, or any other academic data you input never leaves your device.

3. How We Use Your Data

Contact form submissions: To respond to your query. If your message is related to study abroad counselling, a Kanan team member may follow up with relevant information. You can ask us to stop at any time.
Google Analytics data: To understand which calculators are most used, identify technical issues, and improve the content and structure of the site. We review this data in aggregate and never at the individual level.
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to anyone.

4. Cookies

This site uses one category of cookies: analytics cookies placed by Google Analytics to track anonymous usage patterns. No advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies are used. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, the site will still work fully. Only our ability to understand site usage will be affected.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

Legal authorities: If required by law, court order, or a regulatory requirement.
No other third parties receive your data. We do not share contact form submissions with advertisers, data brokers, or partner companies.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months and then securely deleted. Google Analytics data is retained in line with the standard retention settings in our Google Analytics account, which you can review in Google's own documentation.

7. Your Rights

Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
Ask us to correct any inaccurate data.
Ask us to delete your data, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it.
Withdraw consent to receive follow-up communications from us at any time.

8. Children

This site is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted their data through this site, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
